APC LEGACY GROUP SURGES ACROSS SOUTH-WEST, TAKES APC’S PROGRESSIVE VISION TO THE GRASSROOTS

A new socio-political movement, the APC Legacy Group, has emerged as a subset within the broader political family of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with a growing grassroots structure across the South-West. The group is positioning itself as a platform for political enlightenment, civic engagement and the promotion of the progressive ideals associated with the APC.

With its headquarters in Akure, Ondo State, the group is building a network across all six states of the South-West — Ondo, Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Ogun and Lagos — to take political education and awareness closer to ordinary citizens.

The organisation is founded on the belief that meaningful political participation begins with an informed citizenry. It plans to educate people at the grassroots on the policies, principles and achievements of the APC, which it says has pursued progressive policies since the party’s inception.

Through community meetings, local engagement and constructive dialogue, the group intends to explain the party’s vision in a language that connects directly with the realities of citizens. It also plans to listen to community concerns and encourage people to participate actively in governance.

The APC Legacy Group believes that citizens should understand the history, ideas and direction of the political movement they support. By providing political education and civic awareness, the organisation hopes to help voters make informed decisions and see the reasons to support and vote for the APC.

In Ondo State, the group has established coordinators and executives across all 18 Local Government Areas, creating a broad grassroots structure. Similar structures are being developed across Ondo, Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Ogun and Lagos to ensure that the group’s message reaches communities throughout the region.

The organisation maintains that political participation should extend beyond election periods. Citizens should remain engaged with public affairs, understand government policies, ask questions and contribute ideas that can strengthen their communities and society.

As its structures continue to expand, the APC Legacy Group says its mission is to take the APC’s progressive vision to the people, deepen grassroots understanding of the party’s policies and encourage informed support for its candidates at the polls.
