Nigeria has recorded another milestone on the global stage as Ambassador Jimoh Ibrahim CFR, the country’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, was elected Chairman of the United Nations Committee on Budget and Administration (Fifth Committee).
This prestigious appointment places Nigeria at the center of financial and administrative decision‑making within the UN.In his acceptance remarks, Ambassador Ibrahim expressed profound appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, describing the President as a mentor whose reformist teachings continue to inspire his leadership style. “Mr. President, as your student in the reforms class, be assured that those teaching slides will reflect in the Budget, Appropriations, and Human Resources of the United Nations,” Ibrahim declared.
