I received the decision of the leadership of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), to adopt yours truly as the consensus candidate for the House of Assembly position of Okitipupa Constituency I, with utmost humility and gratitude.
This is by no means a personal achievement. It is rather by the grace of God through the instrumentality of the party’s leadership and the cooperation of my (esteemed) co-contestants.
To the leader of the party and enigmatic Governor of our dear State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, I’m profoundly grateful for a leadership that works. I appreciate the party’s state executives under the progressive leadership of Hon. Kolawole Babatunde; southern, local government and ward leaders of our party.
To my esteemed brothers who contended with me for the ticket and, in the act, deployed resources and energies. I acknowledge and applaud your sacrifices while I crave your continued cooperation and support towards a more successful general election and the ultimate benefit of our beloved constituency.
To our teeming constituents, admirers, party men and women who continue to believe in our capacity and encourage us continually on this part, we will not disappoint you by the grace of God; and we won’t rest on our oars!
